Africa Lounge, Sea-Tac, Seattle, WA

The Africa Lounge is operated by Mac and Jacks Brewing Co from Redmond, WA and is one of a few bars located in the main departure lounge of SeaTac airport.

Location and Interior

The bar is located in A18 which is near A gates and near the transit system to other gates. The bar has an African theme throughout with leopard prints throughout, hand-painted murals, a large custom-crafted elephant head behind the bar, faux wooden roof and interesting tables that are designed to look like barrels.

The bar doesn’t have a big beer selection like the Seattle Taphouse but I preferred the layout and the more comfortable seating available.

Beers

A small selection of beer is available at this bar and not as many as the nearby Seattle Taproom. Available when I visited in September, 2011 were two beers from Mac and Jacks, New Belgium Fat Tire and Blue Moon. Another tap was covered up. The beer is available in either 16oz glasses or large 22oz handled jugs.
