Fuller’s Brewery is London’s only remaining traditional family brewer. Based at their historic Griffin brewery in Chiswick, west London, they have been brewing beer there since 1845.

The excellent tours incorporates all parts of the brewing process and includes a tasting session.

The Brandy Cask, Pershore

The Brandy Cask Pub and Brewery is an historic grade 2 listed building in the small town of Pershore, Worcestershire. The building is reputed to date to 1779 with alterations in early- and late-19th century.

Opened in June 1995, the brewpub sells at least 3 ales as well as two guests and a traditional cider.

The Old Brewery is a newly opened microbrewery located in Greenwich, London. It is operated by the Greenwich-based Meantime Brewery and is attached to the Discover Greenwich museum. The brewery is located in the Old Naval College which was originally the Greenwich Hospital.

In marketing speak, Zerodegrees “is a pioneering drinking and dining concept at the forefront of the emerging trend towards fresh, handcrafted beers brewed by microbreweries”. Created in 2000, Zerodegrees can be found in 4 locations around the UK – Cardiff, Reading, Bristol and London. Each Zerodegrees brews its own beer on-site and integrates the brewing equipment into each buildings architecture giving them a futuristic appearance.

Adnams Brewery, Southwold

The Adnams Brewery is located in small picturesque town of Southwold, Suffolk. The brewery dates back to 1872 although the earliest record of beer being brewed on the site of the brewery is from 1345. The popular brewery tours run 7 days a week and allows you to view most parts of the brewery (the distribution centre is located outside of town) including fermentation, the kegging line and the most important part – the tasting room.

Old Chimneys Brewery, Market Weston, Suffolk

Old Chimneys Brewery is located on a farm in Market Weston near Diss, Suffolk and is run by Alan Thompson, a man with a long history in the brewing industry. The brewery opened in 1995 and moved to larger premises in a converted farm building in 2001. Alan brews a larger range of beers and when I visited there were 14 bottled beers on sale as well as cider.
