About the Pub
Located in Pimlico, west London, on the ground floor of a rather ugly block of flats on the corner of Charlwood and Tachbrook Street, the pub is listed in the 2011 CAMRA Good Beer Guide and was nominated for West London Pub of the Year in 2010.
The interior consists of a spacious single room with the bar taking up the entire length of the rear wall. There is a plenty of seating inside as well as a few tables outside on the pavement.
The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and are happy to help recommend a beer for you.
The Beer
An impressive ten hand pumps dispense beer from breweries all over the UK and being the London home to Thornbridge Brewery you can always find a selection of their beers (usually 3) as well as regular beers from Brew Dog and DarkStar.
As well as real ale, the pub also has a good selection of keg beers such as Rothaus Pils and Weisse, Bruges Zot, Mort Subite Kriek and other guest lagers and wheat beers.
The rear of the bar is dominated by refridgerators stocked with many hundreds of bottled beers some of which are difficult to find in the UK. The owners have put a lot of effort into producing an informative 100+ page beer menu.
The pub holds regular monthly ‘Meet the Brewer’ events where the invited brewery takes over some or all 10 hand pumps with their beers.
Both cask ales and bottled beers are available for take away.
