Falling Rock Taphouse, Denver, CO

Location and Interior
Located in the LoDo (Lower Downtown) area of Denver, the bar is a small building wedged between to much larger buildings and is just few blocks away from Coors Field and the Colorado Rockies. You enter through a small patio area and are greeted with a relatively small single room which, if you visit in the evening, is most likely going to be busy.

A long bar takes up all of the right side of the room and it needs to be long. With 75+ beers always available the entire wall is full of pumps. The middle of the room features 10 or so booths for drinking and dining and the left of the room has a more comfortable area and big screen TV. Downstairs in the basement is a pooltable and dart board.
The entire pub is decorated from floor to ceiling in beer related items including a hundreds and hundreds of bottles of beer. Apparently, every one of the bottles was drank by the owner.
So Many Beers, So Little Time
Where do I start with the beer. Not only do they sell 75+ draught beers from around the world (check out their full list here), they also sell 130+ bottled beers. Not only that, they frequently have exclusive beers that they could randomly tap whilst you’re there.
The most memorable beer for me was a pint of Pliny the Elder from Russian River. I had tried a 1oz sample at GABF so had to try a full pint. It’s a really great beer although at the time I didn’t realise that it was 8%.

Overall
Denver has some great pubs and brewpubs but if you are visiting the city, you just have to go to Falling Rock. And if you are from Britain where most pubs only have a few beers, your visit will be like attending a beer festival.
