The Devonshire Cat, Sheffield
Posted on 27. Jun, 2012 by Robert Gale in Pubs

Location and Interior
The pub is located beneath a block of student accommodation on the corner of Wellington and Eldon Street in the Devonshire Quarter of the city.
The large single level pub features a modern interior with a large bar to the rear and plenty of seating throughout. With its pine bar and glass partitioned booths, the pub does have a feeling of a JD Wetherspoon about it although this doesn’t have an impact on the quality of it.
The Beer
A large selection of up to 12 ales are available on hand pull with breweries such as Acorn, Abbeydale, Milestone, Kelham Island, Thornbridge and Cottage featuring. They also have an ale brewed for them as well as a traditional lager. The excellent Freedom lager is also available.
To the right of the bar is an enclosed area featuring shelves packed full of 150+ bottled beers from around the world. This area is chilled essentially making it a giant walk-in fridge. The bottled beers here are available to both consume in the pub and take away.
